Image Composer
for Dummies. Okay, okay, don't take the title
personally! But if you are totally
green, er, I mean, a novice at MIC, then this is definitely the book for you. Clear,
succinct and fun to read with lots of pictures (you gotta love a book with lots of
pictures). Power users may not learn anything new, but then again, maybe you will. I like
this book. And it comes with a CD so you can see a live example of what the author is
referencing in the book. Nifty! By Brian Johnson
for version 1.5.
The Official
Microsoft Image Composer Book: An example packed guide
to designing and enhancing graphics using Microsoft Image Composer 1.5 by Will Tait and Stephen
W. Sagman. The only authorized book on Image Composer, "Official Microsoft Image
Composer Book" shows how to bring Web page images to life by applying any of over 500
effects. This book introduces some advanced methods. Beginners might feel challenged, but
if you're comfortable with MIC, you'll love it! The CD includes a timebomb version of
Image Composer, plus graphics ready to plug into a Web site.
FrontPage 98
Unleashed by William R. Stanek and Glenn Fincher.
FrontPage
98 Unleashed is a comprehensive reference guide to Microsoft's popular Web publishing
package. As with other editions in this series, the book possesses the scope of a
reference book and the clear and easy-to-read manner of a tutorial. The smaller sections
in each chapter explain functions and features in a step-by-step fashion; these sections
combine to form tabbed areas for quick and easy reference. Early chapters cover basics
such as FrontPage Explorer and single page creation and later sections tackle advanced
topics such as server administration and database integration. Naturally, the book
includes all of the latest features of FrontPage 98: Image Composer 1.5,
FrontPage Themes, the Table Drawing Tools, the navigation view, navigation bars, cascading
style sheets, hover buttons, and the Channel Definition Format (CDF) Channel Wizard, which
allows you to create your own channels for the Internet Explorer 4 Active Desktop. FrontPage
98 Unleashed is a worthy companion for FrontPage 98 users of all levels.
Wild Web
Graphics With Microsoft Image Composer 1.0 by David Karlins.

of Microsoft FrontPage 97 and Microsoft Visual InterDev. It has all the functionality and
power of Photoshop-but geared more specifically for the Web. This must-have guide teaches
users how to create spectacular, eye-catching Web graphics with this powerful tool-quickly
and efficiently. It's the perfect resource for readers who are serious about creating cool
graphics for the Web.
Running Microsoft
FrontPage 98 by Jim Buyens. Although this
book
has nothing about MIC, it does
have a great chapter about color and I've used this knowledge in my work. I learned a lot
from this book. It's also my favorite about FP98. It's packed with everything from quick,
clear instructions for new users to comprehensive answers for power users. And it's
complete in one volume. In short, Running Microsoft FrontPage 98 is the authoritative
handbook you'll keep by your computer and use every day. Comes with a companion CD.
